This image of Keith Waldrop was used in his New York Times obituary as well as by The Washington Post. I am grateful to these papers and, of course, to Keith. In my email to the New York Times photo editor, I wrote

I snapped the pic during our Thursday afternoon coffee and cookie time. He asked me to wait a second so the cookie wasn't in shot (he wasn't supposed to be down there eating sugar and didn't want Rosmarie to get mad at him). The things we remember—
