Amish Trivedi

Born in Stone Mountain, Georgia, Amish Trivedi has a degree in History (with minors in English and Film Studies) from the University Georgia (2005) and an M.F.A. from Brown University's Program in Literary Arts (2011). Currently, he is a Ph.D. student in English and Critical Theory at Illinois State University in Normal, IL. Previously, he taught creative writing and writing studies at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island and creative writing at Brown University.

Sound/Chest, his first book, is out from Coven Press.

His poems have appeared in Typo, New American Writing, Kenyon Review Online, The Laurel Review, CutBank, XCP, Mandorla, Esque, Verse, Entropy and Open Letters Monthly, Touch the Donkey, and Alice Blue Review. His chapbooks include The Destructions, Everyone's But Mine, Museum of Vandals, The Breakers and Selections from Episode III.

He has reviewed books for the Sink Review, Jacket2, ColdFront, Atticus Review, and Pleiades. He has also written music reviews for The Rumpus.
