Born in Stone Mountain, Georgia, Amish Trivedi has a degree in History (with minors in English and Film Studies) from the University Georgia (2005) and an M.F.A. from Brown University's Program in Literary Arts (2011). Currently, he is a Ph.D. student in English and Creative Writing at Illinois State University in Normal, IL while managing N/A, a journal he co-edits with François Luong. Previously, he taught creative writing and writing studies at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island. He was also an associate editor of RWU's Mount Hope Magazine.

Sound/Chest, his first book, is out from Coven Press.

His poems have appeared in New American Writing, Kenyon Review Online, The Laurel Review, CutBank, XCP, Mandorla, Esque, Verse, Entropy and Open Letters Monthly, Touch the Donkey, and Alice Blue Review. His chapbooks include The Destructions, Everyone's But Mine, Museum of Vandals, The Breakers and Selections from Episode III.

He has reviewed books for the Sink Review, Jacket2, ColdFront, Atticus Review, and Pleiades. He has also written music reviews for The Rumpus.
